The government has awarded Sonali Bank PLC’s mobile app ‘Sonali e-Wallet’ as best innovative initiative among state owned commercial banks. Sonali e-Wallet has been selected as the best innovation by Financial Institutions Division, Ministry of Finance for implementing of e-governance and innovation plans for 2023-24.

On behalf of Sonali Bank PLC Chief Executive Officer Md. Afzal Karim, its Deputy General Manager Md. Zahirul Islam received the best innovation award from Waseqa Ayesha Khan, State Minister, Ministry of Finance at a function at Finance Ministry on Tuesday. Financial Institutions Division secretary Md. Abdur Rahman Khan presided over the award distribution program.

Among others, Mafiz Uddin Ahmed, additional secretary, Farida Yasmin, deputy secretary of FID and top offisials of FID were present in the program.
