Housing sector’s challenges and contributions discussed; President invited to REHAB fair 2024

A delegation led by Wahid Uzzaman, President of the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB), met with President Mohammad Sahabuddin on Sunday. The delegation included REHAB Senior Vice President Liaquat Ali Bhuiyan, Vice Presidents Lion M. A. Awal, Mohammad Akhter Biswas, and Eng. Abdul Latif.
During the meeting, the REHAB delegation briefed the President on their activities and various programs, highlighting REHAB’s significant contributions to Bangladesh’s housing sector. They also sought government support to address the sector’s challenges and invited the President to be the Chief Guest at the upcoming REHAB Fair 2024, scheduled for December.
President Mohammad Sahabuddin acknowledged housing as a fundamental human need and praised Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s initiatives to ensure no one remains homeless in Bangladesh. Emphasizing the importance of REHAB’s role in the housing sector’s growth and development, the President urged REHAB authorities to ensure that buyers are not subjected to any harassment when purchasing plots or flats.
