1177 crores traded on the rise of the index

The country’s main capital market, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), saw a turnover of over Tk 1177 crore on Monday (August 25), the second working day of the week, as the price index rose. However, the share prices of most companies fell.

This information was obtained from DSE sources.

According to sources, at the end of DSE trading today, the main index ‘DSEX’ rose 66.23 points to 5,455 points.

Among other indices, the Shariah index ‘DSES’ rose 9.99 points to 1,189 points, while the ‘DS30’ rose 27.16 points to 2,128 points.

A total of 1,177.76 crore taka of shares and units were traded on the DSE today. Shares worth 1,202.6 crore taka were traded on the previous working day.

Of the 396 companies traded today, 238 increased their prices, 114 decreased their prices, and 44 remained unchanged.
