Shahjalal Islami Bank celebrates its’ 25th anniversary silver jubilee

Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC. celebrated its’ 25^th anniversary (Silver Jubilee) on May 10, 2026. On the occasion of its’ 25^th anniversary Qur’an Khatam and Doa Mahfil was organized at all the branches and sub-branches of the bank including the corporate head office on May 10, 2026. Special prayers were offered for the greater welfare of the country in the Doa Mahfil. Later, a press conference was organized at the Corporate Head Office and a cake was cut to celebrate the 25^th anniversary of the bank. Moreover, on the same day, 12 new SME investment products of the bank were officially launched. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank Mr. Mohammed Younus was present as Chief Guest while the Vice-Chairman of the Board Mr. Mohiuddin Ahmed, the Directors Mr. Md. Sanaullah Shahid, Mr. Harun Miah, Mr. Akkas Uddin Mollah, Mr. Khandaker Shakib Ahmed, Engineer Md. Towhidur Rahman, Mr. Fakir Maniruzzaman, Mr. Abdul Hakim, the Independent Director Mr. Md. Reazul Karim were present in the program as Special Guest. The Managing Director Mr. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed presided over in the program. The Doa & Munajat was conducted by Mufti Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, the member of the Shariah Supervisory Committee of the Bank.

Among others, the Additional Managing Director of the Bank Mr. Md. Abdullah Al-Mamun, the Deputy Managing Directors Mr. M. M. Saiful Islam & Mr. Md. Jafar Sadeq, FCA were present in the program. The SEVP & Company Secretary of the Bank Mr. Md. Abul Bashar moderated the press conference program. The JAVP & In-charge of Public Relations Division Mr. K. M. Harunur Rashid moderated in the Doa & Munajat program.

After completion of 25 years of glorious journey, Standard Bank PLC. has entered into 26th on June 3, 2024. On this occasion, dua program was held at the boardroom of the bank#39, s head office, Dhaka. Mr. Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed, honorable Chairman of the Bank attended the program as Chief Guest while Mohammad Mohon Miah, acting Managing Director & CEO presided over the program. Mercantile Bank celebrates 25th Anniversary

Mercantile Bank PLC celebrates its 25th anniversary at its Head Office on Sunday. Bank’s Chairman Morshed Alam, MP inaugurated the program by cutting cake. Quamrul Islam Chowdhury, Managing Director of the bank delivered the welcome speech.

Al-Haj Akram Hossain (Humayun) and Abdul Hannan, Vice Chairmen, M. A. Khan Belal, Chairman, Executive Committee; Anwarul Haq, Chairman, Risk Management Committee; A.S.M. Feroz Alam, Chairman, Mercantile Bank Securities Ltd.; M. Amanullah, Chairman, Mercantile Exchange House (UK) Limited, Alhaj Mosharref Hossain and Mohammad Abdul Awal, Directors; Jalal Hossain Khan, Honorable Shareholder and Mati Ul Hasan, AMD were present.

On this auspicious event Mastercard handed over the principal license to Mercantile Bank PLC. Agriculture and SME sectors will be given preference regarding new loans whereas new Agent Banking outlets and Sub-branches will be opened across the country to ensure the access of the banking services to the unbanked people.
