BM Desk: The Russian government has announced scholarships for the academic year 2024-25 to provide higher education opportunities to Bangladeshi students. Students can pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD degrees from various higher education institutions in Russian Federation.
Website (https://education-in-russia.com) goes and applies online. The application period is from September 1 to October 31, 2023. After that, copies of all mark sheets, certificates and passports, including online application copies, must be submitted to the Education Department of the Russian House.
However, the original and photocopy of all educational qualification certificates and mark sheets must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh before applying. The passport must be valid for 18 months from September 2024.
After completing the online application, all educational qualification certificates and attested copies of mark sheets, photocopies of passports, medical certificates (Hepatitis ABC, TB and HIV absence report), consent letter of the candidate for processing personal data and one copy of passport size colour photograph should be submitted to the Education Department of Russian House in Dhaka. Submission of applications to the Russian House is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday.
Pavel Dvoichenkov, director of Russian House in Dhaka, said 110 Bangladeshi students have gone to Russia with scholarships this year. The number of Russian government scholarships for Bangladeshis will increase next year.
He said the Russian House in Dhaka is working hard in educational activities, including selecting candidates for government scholarship programs in Russian universities, to build skilled citizens in Bangladesh in the future.
Any information in this regard, including the application rules, will be available from the Education Department of the Russian House in Dhaka from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday to Thursday.
