Nazrul Rajbari Correspondent: The Chhatra Dal of Rajbari District organized a significant protest rally to voice their opposition against the efforts to incite mob violence through clandestine groups, the undermining of a fair educational environment in schools, and the worsening law and order situation nationwide.
On Monday afternoon, a large protest march commenced from the Rajbari District BNP office, led by District Chhatra Dal convener Ariful Islam Roman and Member Secretary Shahinur Rahman Shahin. After marching through the main thoroughfare of the district town, the procession culminated in a rally at Shaheed Smriti Chattar, where chants of Jamaat-Shibir Razakar and Bangla Chut were heard.
The rally was presided over by District Chhatra Dal convener Ariful Islam Roman, with moderation by Member Secretary Shahinur Rahman Shahin. Speakers at the rally included District Chhatra Dal joint conveners Asjad Hossain Azad, Russell Sheikh, Atiar Sikder Atiq, Rajbari Sadar Upazila Chhatra Dal general secretary Nekbar Hossain Paris, Pangsha Upazila Chhatra Dal general secretary Shariful Islam Sharif, Sadar Upazila Chhatra Dal president Sohel Pramanik, Chhatra Dal leader Sabuj Sardar, Rajbari Municipality Chhatra Dal leader Azim Islam, Pangsha Municipality Chhatra Dal president Rashed Iqbal, Upazila Chhatra Dal president Sumon Khan, Pangsha Upazila Chhatra Dal president Rubel, Baliakandi Upazila Chhatra Dal general secretary Rakib Billah, among others.
The speakers said that for 17 years, Chhatra Dal has been a victim of the conspiracy of the fascist Awami League and has been subjected to cases, attacks, disappearances and murders. As part of the conspiracy to delay the elections, Jamaat-e-Islami, NCP, and Islamic Movement have started propaganda. We are on the ground and will remain there. All these conspiracies will be resisted strictly. We make concessions, but we do not give up. If you want to make any conspiracy in the future, think carefully. We are not an organization floating in the water of the forest. The situation that Awami League has faced, you will also face the same situation.
