Dhaka, November 9th: OBHAI, the Bangladesh-born ride-sharing startup, has been awarded “e-Commerce Mover’s Award-2020”, and the award was received by Tabassum Zaman, Head of Growth, OBHAI, from Chief Guest, Mr. Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP and the Honorable State Minister, Information and Communication Technology, and e-CAB President, Shomi Kaiser.
OBHAI launched ObhaiSheba™ in March 2020, and the special service dedicated to the commuting needs of medical personnel and patients within the pandemic garnered great praise for its initiative. The ride-sharing organization maintained all the safety protocols, including distributing masks, tissues, hand sanitizers, gloves, PPE, bleaching powder solution etc. to the drivers, and ensured safety protocols and contactless payment for the customers. For extended safety measures, Plexiglass Shields were also installed.
The ride-sharing company also launched its intercity services and resumed normalcy upon green light from the Government of Bangladesh, continuing to cater to the commute requirements of the masses. For these valuable contribution to the e-Commerce sector of Bangladesh and the citizens, the Award and Accreditation Committee of e-CAB has considered OBHAI as one of the rightfully achievers of the first e-Commerce Mover’s Awards.
