Kazi Abdur Rahman appointed Deputy Managing Director of Agrani Bank

Kazi Abdur Rahman has been appointed as the new Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of Agrani Bank PLC, effective Thursday. The official notification signed by Jehad Uddin, Deputy Secretary of the Financial Institutions Department of the Ministry of Finance, was issued on Wednesday.

Mr. Rahman brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having served efficiently as Deputy Managing Director of Rupali Bank prior to his appointment at Agrani Bank.  He began his banking career in 1998, joining Rupali Bank as a Senior Officer through the Bankers Recruitment Committee (BRC).

Throughout his career, Mr. Rahman has demonstrated a strong commitment to the banking industry.  He has held various positions within Rupali Bank, including Deputy Managing Director, General Manager (Local Office), Head of Departments for Rajshahi, Rangpur, and Dhaka (South), and Branch Manager of various branches, including Zonal Head.  His performance has been consistently marked by honesty, dedication, and success.

Mr. Rahman has actively participated in various training programs to enhance his professional qualifications.  These include workshops, seminars, and symposiums held both domestically and internationally, including those organized by the Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM) and Bangladesh Bank.

Academically, Mr. Rahman holds a Masters Degree in Islamic History and Culture from National University and an MBA from Khulna University.  He hails from a respected Muslim family in Syed Mohalla village, located within Fakirhat Upazila of Bagerhat district.
