A day-long `Research and Publication Fair’ under the auspices of the institutes of Dhaka University (DU) concluded on Sunday at the premises of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) of the university, reads a press release.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal inaugurated this fair as chief guest.
Presided over by Prof. Dr. Tamanna Howlader, Director of Institute of Statistical Research and Training (ISRT) of DU and Convener of the organizing committee of the fair the inaugural function was addressed by Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Samad, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr. Sitesh Chandra Bachar and IBA Director Prof. Mohammad A. Momen as special guests.
Mr. Maksud Kamal thanked the organizers for holding this fair successfully and said, researches and publications of DU must be of international standard.
Startup of a university is being developed through fundamental research, publications and innovations. As a result Industry-Academia relations would be strengthened at the university, he hoped.
