Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chatradal supported by Mymensingh North District BNP Joint Convener Motahar Hossain Talukder and another group of Chhatra Dal clashed on Wednesday afternoon. At that time, several shops including Moti Market and Lalon Market were vandalized at the Phulpur bus stand. A well-equipped demonstration of indigenous weapons was publicly displayed on the highway. This created panic among the public. At that time, the situation was tense in the Amuakanda intersection of the municipality and the Phulpur bus stand area. Later, the army and police members brought the situation under control. In the meantime, there has been a negative reaction locally regarding the matter. The incident has also gone viral on various social media platforms and the internet. Locals say that BNP will be turned away by the common man in such an incident.
