BFUJ president Ruhul Amin Gazi passes away

Ruhul Amin Gazi, president of the Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) and chief reporter of the daily Sangram passed away on Tuesday night while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the capital.
BNP Health Affairs Secretary Dr Rafiqul Islam confirmed the news to the media.
Nahid Islam, Advisor to the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, as well as the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, has expressed profound sorrow and grief over the death of journalist Ruhul Amin Gazi.
His Namaz-e-Janaza will be held at Jatiya Press Club after Zuhr prayer.
Earlier, on Sunday at around 2:45am, a decision was made to transfer Ruhul Amin Gazi to Thailand for advanced medical treatment.
However, due to a sudden deterioration in his health, doctors advised against the move.
After returning from the airport, he was readmitted to a private hospital in Dhaka, where he continued to receive treatment until his passing.
