Bangladeshi distance learning app Shikho has been ranked in Forbes’ list of the best of the year. According to this world-renowned business and capital magazine, Bangladesh’s Shikho is among the top 100 startups in Asia this year
According to the Forbes report, small companies and startups that are working to solve global challenges through creative products and services by combining new ideas have been included in the ‘Asia 100 to Watch 2022’ list.In keeping with the rise of startups around the world, the talented youth of Bangladesh have also created a distinctive name for the country by establishing contemporary startups. Bangladesh’s bright addition to the global startup map is Shikho.
Since its inception in 2019, Shikho has been building a hyper-localized digital learning ecosystem to revolutionize learning in Bangladesh. The institute is working to make quality education accessible to all students across the country.
The Shikho app was launched in November 2020, through which a student can sit anywhere in the country and study under the guidance of the best teachers at any time.
In the last 20 months, the app has been downloaded more than 600,000 times from the Google Play Store and about 500,000 students are studying on the app every day, said its co-founder and CEO Shahir Chowdhury.
