Bangladesh Justice Party strongly condemns flag burning in Kolkata

Staff Correspondent: Bangladesh Justice Party President Advocate Dr Syed Javed Mohammad Salehuddin strongly condemned the deplorable acts of desecrating the national flag of Bangladesh in front of the Deputy High Commission of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Kolkata on Friday and the burning of the effigy of Chief Adviser Prof Dr Muhammad Yunus ignoring the barricades of the Indian police by Radical Hindu organization of India ‘Bengali Hindu Awakening’; said in a press release of Bangladesh Justice Party.

The Bangladesh Justice Party President demanded the immediate arrest of the terrorists involved in this incident, taking strict legal action, and demanding an apology from the Indian government for the unfortunate incident that took place in front of the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in India.

Bangladesh Justice Party expresses deep concern to the Indian government over such a heinous incident.
Bangladesh Justice Party believes that the Indian government will further clarify its diplomatic position in maintaining peace in the subcontinent by maintaining international law, customs and international diplomatic etiquette in neighboring countries and not interfering in the internal affairs of any neighboring country.

Bangladesh Justice Party deeply believes that India has the political and diplomatic skills to understand that if the internal peace and security of Bangladesh is disturbed, it will make the Indian government more unstable and insecure.

Bangladesh Justice Party believes that the recent provocative statements by various Indian media and mass media about the caretaker government of Bangladesh will create nothing but bitterness in the relations between Bangladesh and India.

We believe that there are enough well-informed political parties and sensible geopolitical analysts and common people in India who are aware of the important issues of modern states and the recent world and geopolitics of this region. The President of Bangladesh Justice Party added.

In this situation, the Bangladesh Justice Party expects the Indian government and the conscientious people of India to think about the future of its national structure and immediately come out of outdated thinking and come to the changing world, respecting the recent post-revolutionary changeable structure of Bangladesh, democratic aspirations, religious values, the struggle of the common people and their sacrifices, the thoughts of the new generation of Bangladesh and their position against the fallen autocratic ruler, the religious harmony traditionally existing among the people of Bangladesh, and will strive to behave in harmony and peaceful manner with the future government and citizens of Bangladesh.

The Bangladesh Justice Party wants to remind the Indian government of the history and tradition of the brave sultans of the independent Sultanate of Bengal, who fought repeatedly against the then Sultan of Delhi to protect the independence and sovereignty of Bengal. They did not accept their own uniqueness and defeat. Their successor is today’s independent Bangladesh, which was born through a bloody war of independence, not through communal riots.

Bangladesh Justice Party wishes for good relations and harmony between the people of Bangladesh and India and hopes that the future relations between these two neighboring countries, Bangladesh and India, will be based on mutual respect, national integrity, sovereignty and mutual independence under international law.
