Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited gets New Deputy Managing Director

Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited (BCBL) has appointed Mohd. Jamil Hossain, CMA as its new Deputy Managing Director. Prior to joining BCBL, Mr. Hossain held the Senior Executive Vice President position at The Premier Bank Limited, and Head of Corporate Banking Division, CAMLCO, Zonal Head, & Chief Risk Officer (CRO). He has also worked at Eastern Bank Limited, Woori Bank, Prime Bank, and NRB Bank Limited, accumulating extensive experience in Branch Banking, Relationship Banking, Credit, Risk Management, Retail Banking, Treasury and FI.
Mr. Hossain began his banking career in January 1997 as a Probationary Officer at Eastern Bank Limited. He subsequently held various positions at Woori Bank, Bangladesh, including Head of Credit, Treasury, and FI. During his tenure at Prime Bank, he served as Head of CRM, Risk Management Division, and Retail Banking Division. He also served as Head of CRM at NRB Bank Limited.
Mr. Hossain holds a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) degree from ICMA (AUS & NZ), and he has completed various degrees, including a Master’s in Public Affairs in International Economic Relations, a Master’s in Professional Banking, and double MBA majors in Finance and Marketing. He is a Certified Credit Professional from OMEGA Credit, U.K., and holds a Diploma from the Chartered Banker Institute, U.K.
In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Hossain has published numerous articles in reputable newspapers and serves as a resource person for various institutes.
