Alibaba to sell Bangladeshi corona hit product

Daraj Bangladesh, a subsidiary of Alibaba Group, has launched a new initiative called ‘Dexports’ to help the SME sector or small and medium enterprises affected by the epidemic corona virus.

Through the DXports program, a Bangladeshi seller will be able to enjoy exclusive access to Alibaba.com, the world’s largest online website. Using this special access, local vendors will be able to communicate directly with international buyers for the sale of domestic products.

This will open a new door for export opportunities, government revenue and employment. The inauguration of the new venture was recently announced through a digital press.

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi was present as the chief guest at the digital press conference and State Minister for ICT Junaid Ahmed Palak and AHM Ahsan, Vice-Chairman of Export Promotion Bureau were present as special guests. Felix Young, Country Director, Alibaba.com, was the special guest speaker.
