Coca-Cola sets commitment to gender diversification in Bangladesh

That’s why Coca-Cola’s aspiration to mirror the diversity of the markets they serve includes being 50% led by women globally by 2030 and Coca-Cola Bangladesh is a shining example. 

The company recently appointed Ju’un Nahar the first Bangladeshi woman Managing Director of the company in Bangladesh. Apart from her, there are many more in the system, leading the team and paving the path for next generation women leaders. Ju-un Nahar (Managing Director, Coca-Cola Bangladesh)

Breaking barriers, Ju-un Nahar became the first Bangladeshi woman to lead Coca-Cola Bangladesh in this prestigious position of country head. Ju-un’s journey in shaping her career, commenced as a Management Trainee in Marketing at Unilever, where she marked her legacy across various roles over nearly a decade.

Her professional journey led her to Indonesia in 2014, where she steered the Dettol business at Reckitt Benckiser before transitioning to aCommerce, where she took on the role of FMCG Director, spanning seven ASEAN countries and later served as Head of Innovation at Danone Indonesia. 

In 2023 Ju-un Nahar returned to Bangladesh as Marketing Director at Apex, overseeing business operations and partnerships with bottlers. With experience in domestic and international markets, she aims to propel the franchise to new heights and inspire excellence.

Zainab Monem (Director for Abdul Monem Limited)

Zainab Monem is a dedicated and influential leader in today’s generation, directing her efforts towards community service and uplifting projects. 

Her dedication is evident in her past efforts to assist 300 families in Shahjadpur, Dhaka, where she led initiatives on food, hygiene, and water safety, also engaging in various community development activities like event planning, fundraising, and waste management. 

Zainab, a BA in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics, is a business development expert, CEO of sustainable fashion e-commerce venture AZAD.AI, and Director for Abdul Monem Limited.

Irmana Monem (Director for Abdul Monem)

Irmana carves out her own niche in a field predominantly occupied by men, driven by a desire to succeed and uplift others. Her journey began at a women’s college, where she focused on finance and leadership with a social impact.

Irmana, a data scientist and entrepreneur, uses her mother’s advocacy to create Sneho, an e-commerce platform, demonstrating how one person’s purpose and compassion can bring significant positive change.

Taslima Jaigirder (Director of People, Coca-Cola Bangladesh Beverages)

A champion for human potential, Taslima leads with a heart as big as her responsibilities. Overseeing the well-being of XXX individuals within the Coca-Cola system, her passion for people stretches far beyond individual roles. 

Taslima, a renowned brand executive, has a proven track record of fostering thriving working environments, earning multiple awards under prestigious brands like Unilever and Grameenphone.

Taslima Jaigirder, former Head of Resources at Philip Morris International, is known for her commitment to gender equality and her significant impact on the industry. 

She organized the largest corporate HR panel discussion on International Women’s Day 2011, sparked conversations, and reduced employee turnover. Her transformative power demonstrates how dedication to people can unlock potential.

Ismat Zerin Khan (Head of Legal Counsel, Coca-Cola Bangladesh)

Ismat Zerin Khan stands as a beacon of legal expertise and leadership within the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, where she advocates tirelessly for justice and equity. Beyond her role in the courtroom, Ismat’s influence extends across the South West Asian countries for The Coca-Cola Company, shaping legal outlooks in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Nepal, and Bhutan. 

Ismat Zerin Khan, a legal counsel for prominent organizations like Banglalink, Daraz, and BRAC, has made significant contributions to the digital commerce industry. Her strategic recommendations have influenced regulatory frameworks and government recognition, showcasing the transformative power of women in the legal profession.

Abeer Rajbeen (Director of Marketing, Coca-Cola Bangladesh)

Abeer Rajbeen embodies the essence of female leadership within the Coca-Cola System, where she has made her mark over the past three years, and currently the Director of Marketing for Coca-Cola Bangladesh. 

Abeer, a successful entrepreneur, has led various programs, including the launch of Coke Studio Bangla and Coke Zero. She is known for her social responsibility and customer involvement, and has a strong marketing background. 

She has managed major brands at companies like Nestle and GlaxoSmithKline, and has been recognized for her leadership and commitment to excellence.
